Meet Celine
Celine Lin, Tzu-Hsuan Lin, is a wig and makeup artist from Taiwan, currently pursuing her MFA in Wig and Makeup Design at the UNCSA.
With a BFA in Theatrical Costume Design, she has worked as a makeup artist on the Netflix fantasy series "Agent From Above" (乩身), which has yet to be published, designed costumes for stage productions, and assisted her professor, Harng Sheng, in the costume design industry before coming to Winston-Salem.
At UNCSA, Celine has designed for theater, opera, and film, including Ballymore, Kaizen, and Beaks Bloody. She also contributed to La Cenerentola and Albert Herring at The Santa Fe Opera, where she received the Kathrine M. Mayer Memorial Award. In addition, she was honored to receive the 2026 USITT Makeup Design Award, which recognized her creativity, technical skill, and commitment to quality.
Blending Eastern and Western techniques, Celine believes makeup and hair design should reflect both historical accuracy and emotional truth. She strives to bring novelty and elaborate details to every project she works on.
